How It Works

If you’re getting new cabinetry, you will likely receive plans from your cabinetmaker. We can use those sizes to create an estimate.

If you’re keeping your existing cabinets, create a rough birds-eye view sketch of the layout with lengths and depths for us to work from. Notate the locations of your important appliances like the sink, stove, and dishwasher. If you don’t feel equipped to do this, it’s not a problem - we are happy to come and measure for you! This is 100% FREE!

Before we can quote you, you’ll need to visit our showroom or a slab distribution center to select a material. Be sure to bring your other design selections like flooring and cabinetry color/stains with you to choose slabs! This will make your selection process a lot easier.

Step 1: Selections & Estimations

After you choose a material and approve your estimate, our team will come and take official measurements. This appointment is called a template. If you’re keeping your existing cabinets, we prefer the old countertops be removed (by us or you) before measuring. Why? The walls in most homes are not square. By having the old counters removed, we can make a custom template to the contour of your walls.

While this means you’ll be without countertops for the fabrication process, it also means a better, more snug fit for your new countertops. We don’t take shortcuts. Craftsmanship is our #1 priority. Our shop team are experts at what they do!

Step 2: Template and Fabrication

Depending on the size of your project, our turnaround time between template and install usually falls between 5-10 business days. Single vanities make their way through production quicker than an entire house does.

Most kitchen installations can be completed within 2-3 hours, however more complex installs can take longer.

If your project includes full height backsplash, we can’t template for that until the new countertops are in place. This means you will have two installation appointments.

At PDP Countertops Inc., we seal every top with the best 15 year sealer available to our industry - No Charge.

While we attach your new sink, a plumber will be required to do the connections.

Step 3: Installation

We have no subcontractor fabricators/installers and no commission-based sales. We take our time to ensure no details are missed. The quality production and installation of beautiful countertops is what we aim to achieve in every single project, big and small. All of our fabricators and installers are licensed and insured, full-time employees; masters of their trade. Expect to receive superior service and notice our incredible attention to detail that sets us apart from the rest.
